courts & Culture: china 2025

 Shaping Tomorrow’s Global Citizens

Imagine a journey where basketball meets culture and education—a transformative trip that pushes young athletes beyond the game, into a world of new experiences, friendships, and personal growth. COURTS & CULTURE is more than just an international basketball exhibition. It’s an opportunity for players to step into a global arena, develop leadership skills, and connect across cultures.

Over ten unforgettable days, 16U, 14U, and 12U teams will immerse themselves in both high-level basketball training and authentic Chinese cultural experiences. We’ll travel from RDU and Kunming, where players will compete, train, and explore.

Who Can Apply?

This unique opportunity is open to all competitive youth basketball players who will be between the ages of 12 and 16 in the summer of 2025. Players from across North Carolina are welcome to apply to represent D-ONE Sports in this exclusive exhibition team. The team will only compete in China, and spots are limited to players who meet the following requirements:

  • A recommendation from a High School, Middle School, or Competitive (Travel) Basketball Coach.

  • A passion for competition, sportsmanship, and a desire to be part of a global basketball exchange.

This is a chance for players to represent North Carolina on an international stage while growing both on and off the court.

Why This Trip Matters

Global Awareness

Engaging with a new culture opens doors to understanding. Our players will learn about the rich history and values of China while sharing their own, building global connections that go beyond the court.

Confidence and Growth

Navigating a new country builds resilience. From intense training sessions to cultural excursions, players will grow into confident, independent individuals who can thrive in unfamiliar environments.

Leadership Through Sports

Basketball is a universal language. Dual training sessions with Chinese players and competition days will teach athletes how to lead and work with diverse teammates, sharpening their skills for both sports and life.

Character Building

True sportsmanship knows no borders. Competing internationally teaches respect, empathy, and the importance of teamwork—values that will stay with our players long after the final whistle.
